National MOU

Academic Collaborations - National

A. With National Maritime Foundation (Govt. of India, Ministry of Defence)

Raffles University, School of Law, under its flagship of Centre for Maritime Studies, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on 12th day of December, 2019, with National Maritime Foundation, which is India’s sole think-tank under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, concentrating upon the entire gamut of subjects & disciplines relevant to the Maritime Domain .

Vice Admiral Mr. Pradeep Chauhan (AVSM, VSM (Retd.) Director General), signed for the National Maritime Foundation, New Delhi and Prof.(Dr.) V.K. Kapoor, President, Raffles University, signed the MOU on behalf of Raffles University, Neemrana.

The Mission of this MOU is Capacity Building in the Maritime Domain, to develop Maritime Awareness Programs that promote individual development and academic enhancement, including, but not limited to faculty & student training, but also to academic exchanges, collaborative research joint publications, seminars, conferences, workshops, internships & placements.


B. With Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, ASSAM (INDIA)

Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar,ASSAM (INDIA) a Centrally Funded University, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The purpose of this MOU is to establish cooperative relations between Raffles University and Central Institute of Technology in the areas of Agriculture, Engineering, Basic & Applied Sciences, Technology, Research, Industrial design, Patent Laws, Pharmacy, Management etc., besides faculty & student exchange programs, internship & placement support, workshops, seminars, conferences, joint publications and capacity building among others.

Prof. Debkumar Chakrabarti, Officiating Director CIT Kokrajhar, ASSAM, concurrently Professor at IIT Guwahati signed for Central Institute of Technology and Prof.(Dr.) V.K Kapoor, President signed for Raffles University, Neemrana, in the presence of Dr. Justice Meena V. Gomber, Chairperson Gomber Education Foundation, Sponsoring Body of Raffles University, and Ms. Chaitali Brahma, Registrar, CIT Kokrajhar, ASSAM (INDIA).

This collaboration between a Government University and a Private University is the first of its kind in India that will benefit the students all across the country. CIT, having its wide diversified agricultural farming, will help the students of Raffles to work in the field of Agriculture Sciences, where as the Raffles University, Neemrana, situated in the Japanese Zone of NCR will help the students of the North East in their industrial training, research and internship programs.

Raffles University, has some more collaborative agreements (National & Global both) in the pipeline. These arrengements have, tremendously, benifited students and faculty alike.
